ROG Tournament GameXpo 2017 has finished its Reuglar Season and determined the top four teams which will be heading to the playoffs and battling over the €4000 prize pool at GameXpo in Helsinki on November 3-5, 2017.
The Regular Season of the ROG Tournament GameXpo 2017 Overwatch league was played over four weeks starting on September 19. Twenty one matches were played between the seven teams in the group to determine which four teams would make it to the offline playoffs which will take place at GameXpo in Helsinki on November 3-5. In the end the standings were clear without any tied scores, and the top four teams are: Team Gigantti, ENCE eSports, Helsinki REDS and NYYRIKKI Esports.
Team Gigantti dominated the Regular Season and finished the group without dropping a single map. With a fresh European Overwatch Contenders championship under their belt they are without a doubt the favorite going in to the playoffs. The runner-up in the group is ENCE eSports which only lost to Team Gigantti and showed great performances even with a stand-in as one of their players suffered from a sustained hand injury. Helsinki REDS managed to snatch the 3rd place in the group from NYYRIKKI Esports in a close deciding match between the two teams. The REDS were not far away from the 2nd place either as their duel with ENCE also went the distance. The last playoffs spot was taken convincingly by NYYRIKKI Esports as they won against all the rest of the group: Nemesis, FC Lahti Menace and Aces.
